Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy describes how The Home Remodeling Center, LLC (“HRC”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects information about you when you visit our website at thehomeremodelingcenter.com (the “Site”), submit a service request through our platform, speak with one of our dispatchers by phone, or otherwise interact with our services (collectively, the “Services”).

HRC is a lead-matching marketplace. We connect homeowners who are seeking home-improvement, remodeling, or repair services (“Homeowners”) with independent third-party service providers who perform those services (“Contractors”). HRC does not perform construction, remodeling, or repair work itself — we route qualified service requests to Contractors and let you and the Contractor handle the rest.

By using our Site or Services, you agree to the collection, use, and sharing of your information as described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

2. Scope of This Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to:

  • Visitors to our Site
  • Homeowners who submit a request, fill out a form, or otherwise contact us seeking a Contractor match
  • Individuals who speak with our dispatchers by phone, text, or email
  • Contractors who join, apply to join, or interact with the HRC Contractor network
  • Anyone who corresponds with HRC about our Services

This policy does not apply to the information practices of third-party Contractors, advertisers, or websites we link to. Once you are matched with a Contractor, that Contractor’s own privacy practices govern any information you share directly with them.

3. Information We Collect

We collect information in three ways: (a) information you provide directly to us, (b) information collected automatically when you use the Site, and (c) information we receive from third parties.

Information You Provide Directly

When you request a Contractor match, speak with a dispatcher, or otherwise interact with us, we may collect your name; phone number; email address; service address, including ZIP code, city, and state; the category and details of the home service you are requesting; your project timing, budget range, and other project specifics; any communications you have with our dispatchers, including call recordings where permitted by law and disclosed; and, if you become a Contractor, business name, contact details, license and insurance information, service area, and payment information.

Information Collected Automatically

When you visit the Site, we and our service providers automatically collect device and browser information, IP address and approximate location, pages viewed and links clicked, referral URLs, cookies and similar tracking technologies (see Cookies and Tracking Technologies), and call metadata when you call our number.

Information From Third Parties

We may receive information about you from marketing partners and lead-source affiliates; analytics, advertising, and attribution providers; service providers that help us verify Contractor licensing and insurance; and public records and other publicly available sources used for Contractor verification.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Match you with Contractors — your service request, contact details, and project information are shared with up to three (3) Contractors in our network who serve your area and offer the requested service.
  • Call or text you back — our dispatchers use your phone number to call or text you, typically within 60 seconds of your request, to qualify your project and complete the match.
  • Operate, maintain, and improve our Services.
  • Verify Contractor identity, licensing, insurance, and quality.
  • Send transactional communications about your request, including confirmations, updates, and follow-ups.
  • Send marketing communications about HRC services and related content (you can opt out at any time).
  • Analyze how the Site is used and how the Services perform.
  • Prevent fraud, enforce our Terms of Service, and protect the safety of users and Contractors.
  • Comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests.

5. How We Share Your Information

With Contractors

This is the core function of the Services. When you submit a service request, we share your name, phone number, email address, service address (or ZIP code), and project details with up to three (3) Contractors in our network who match your request. Once a Contractor receives your information, that Contractor independently controls how it handles your information, subject to its own privacy practices and applicable law.

With Service Providers

We share information with third-party vendors who perform services for us — hosting and infrastructure, call-center and dispatcher software, CRM and lead-management systems, email/SMS/call-routing providers, analytics and advertising platforms, payment processors, and identity-verification services. Service providers are contractually limited to using information only for the services they perform for HRC.

With Affiliates and Business Partners

HRC is operated in partnership with CSC Solutions, our affiliated U.S.-based call-center provider, which staffs our dispatcher operation. We share information with CSC Solutions strictly to qualify and match your request. We may also share information with marketing partners where you have consented or where permitted by law.

In Business Transactions

If HRC is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, or bankruptcy, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to standard confidentiality protections.

For Legal and Safety Reasons

We may disclose information when we believe in good faith it is necessary to comply with legal process, enforce our agreements, investigate or prevent fraud and security incidents, or protect the rights, property, or safety of HRC, our users, our Contractors, or the public.

Aggregated and De-identified Information

We may share aggregated or de-identified information that cannot reasonably be used to identify you for any business purpose.

6. Calls, Texts, and TCPA Consent

HRC’s service depends on a real person calling you back quickly. By submitting your phone number through the Site or our forms, or otherwise providing it to us in connection with a service request, you expressly consent to the following:

  • HRC, our affiliates (including CSC Solutions), our service providers, and the Contractors we match you with may call or send text (SMS) messages to the phone number you provide.
  • Calls and texts may be made using an automatic telephone dialing system, an artificial or pre-recorded voice, or other automated technology, including for marketing purposes.
  • Consent is not a condition of any purchase. Consent to calls and texts at the number you provide is required for HRC to perform the matching service you are requesting.
  • Standard message and data rates from your wireless carrier may apply.
  • Message frequency varies. Reply STOP to any HRC text to opt out, or HELP for help. Opting out of marketing texts will not stop transactional texts about an active service request.
  • To stop receiving phone calls from HRC, ask the dispatcher to remove you from our calling list, or email legal@thehomeremodelingcenter.com.
  • Opting out of HRC communications does not opt you out of communications from Contractors you have already been matched with — you must contact those Contractors directly.

7. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We and our service providers use cookies, web beacons, pixels, and similar technologies on our Site to operate the Site and remember preferences, measure performance, recognize returning visitors, deliver relevant advertising, and understand the effectiveness of our advertising.

Categories of Cookies We Use

  • Strictly necessary — required for the Site to function; cannot be turned off.
  • Performance & analytics — help us understand how visitors use the Site.
  • Functional — remember your choices and preferences.
  • Advertising & targeting — track your visit across our Site and others to deliver and measure advertising.

Your Choices

Most browsers let you delete or block cookies through their settings. You can opt out of interest-based advertising via the Digital Advertising Alliance (optout.aboutads.info), the Network Advertising Initiative (optout.networkadvertising.org), and the European Interactive Digital Advertising Alliance (youronlinechoices.eu). We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals as required by applicable law.

8. Your Choices and Rights

Marketing Communications

You can opt out of marketing emails by clicking the unsubscribe link in any marketing email or by emailing legal@thehomeremodelingcenter.com. You can opt out of marketing texts by replying STOP. You may continue to receive transactional communications related to an active service request even after opting out of marketing.

Account Information

You may review, update, or correct information you have provided to HRC by contacting legal@thehomeremodelingcenter.com.

Cookie Preferences

You can manage cookie preferences through your browser, our cookie banner where applicable, or the industry opt-out tools listed above.

9. U.S. State Privacy Rights

Residents of certain U.S. states have additional rights under state privacy laws.

California Residents (CCPA / CPRA)

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended, gives you the following rights, subject to verification and certain exceptions:

  • Right to know what personal information we collect, use, disclose, and sell or share
  • Right to access a copy of your personal information
  • Right to delete personal information we have collected
  • Right to correct inaccurate personal information
  • Right to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information
  • Right to limit the use of sensitive personal information
  • Right to non-discrimination for exercising your rights

HRC does not “sell” personal information for money. However, our matching of Homeowners with Contractors and our use of advertising cookies may be considered a “sale” or “share” under California law. To opt out, email legal@thehomeremodelingcenter.com or use the “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link in our Site footer. To exercise any other right, email us with the email and phone number associated with your interactions with HRC; we will verify your identity before fulfilling the request.

Other State Residents

If you are a resident of Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Montana, Iowa, Delaware, New Jersey, or another state with a comprehensive privacy law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, and obtain a portable copy of your personal data; to opt out of targeted advertising, sale, or certain profiling; and to appeal a denial. To exercise these rights, email legal@thehomeremodelingcenter.com.

Nevada Residents

Nevada residents have the right to opt out of the sale of certain personal information for monetary consideration. HRC does not currently sell personal information as defined under Nevada law. To submit a request, email legal@thehomeremodelingcenter.com.

10. Children’s Privacy

The Services are not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child under 16 has provided personal information to HRC, please email legal@thehomeremodelingcenter.com and we will take steps to delete it.

11. Data Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

12. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as necessary to provide the Services, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Specific retention periods depend on the type of information, the purpose of processing, and applicable legal requirements. When we no longer need information, we delete or de-identify it.

13. International Users

HRC operates in the United States, and our Services are intended for U.S. residents. If you access the Services from outside the United States, you understand that your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States.

14. Third-Party Sites and Services

The Site may contain links to websites, plug-ins, and applications operated by third parties. We do not control these third parties and are not responsible for their privacy practices. We encourage you to read the privacy policy of every site you visit.

15. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last Updated” date above. If the changes are material, we will provide additional notice before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Services after the updated policy takes effect constitutes acceptance of it.
